This was written 6/7 years ago and it’s changed very little. I was never really in a band that fit this song until now (Lot 9 Brawl played it for the last couple months of their existence). Needless to say, you can tell I was in highschool when I wrote it.

Raise your fist and open your eyes. Don’t read these books of lies, preaching hate and teaching greed, forcing the weak to believe in all the bullshit they’ve conceived in the name of the land of the free. This “democracy” is a dying dream. I’ll believe what i want to believe. I don’t need a fucking book to tell me how to live my life. It’s hard enough without the complications of a stone age fairy tale. Everyone has a god to kill for, but they all have different names. It’s time to take a stand for who we are and what we want this to be. No gods no flags no war. Time to see what it means to be free.
